Simon Harris TD is the current Minister for Health.
Simon first became involved in politics through his work as a disability advocate and is committed to providing a strong voice on issues relating to special needs and mental health.
He was first elected to Dáil Éireann in 2011 where he served under a number of roles including under the public accounts committee, Oireactas Committee on finance, Public Expenditure & Reform, Minister for Finance and appointed to a cross party group on Mental Health until he was appointed Minister for Health in 2016.
Throughout his career in politics Simon Harris has had a strong link to both financial and mental health issues so he understands and advocates for the links between the two and the importance of making sure both are being taken care of.
